The end is near.

Yeah time is slowly running out, i am trying my best to get this animation done for hand in on friday. I have just started animating the final scene but have a lot of written work along with PPD and stringing together my script e.t.c. Animation is on hold at the moment but i do believe i will have it ready for final show. heres an update of the final scene and animated elements with onion skin to give you an idea of the timing.

Visual

Okay so i am normally uploading screen shots and a bit description of what i have been doing but i am going to sure you some animation. The first part is an example of roughing out the animation before the outline. The second part was the new technique of roughing up the movement and backgrounds to save time. The third part was final line work. The video is messed for quality but u get the idea.

Gots to make a change.

Again it’s been a while since an update but my head has been scattered making the animation. I have documented my process so here it is. It is actually taking a lot longer to prepare than I thought. So I have got down a system I am going to stick too. Is going to work in layer. First layer of animation is going to be generally really rough. The second layer will be filling out the in-between frames and roughing the line to fill out basic movement. Finally then going over and getting the last bits of details in with any final movement.

When i mean making changes i do. Instead of using the line tool im jumping straight into roughing it out. No backgrounds just grasping simple movement. getting the gritty stuff out the way. For how bad it looks it will help!

Damn

Okay its getting boring ! These scenes are taking twice as along as i thought to set up. Quality is falling along with more detail. Time is not something i have much of. Methods will have to change.

Anyway, here a few more set ups for the scenes.

Shit scene here were our fury friend sticking his shnoz oot the winda for a breez. The scenes just basicly showing the angle of travel. Like i say some lines are guides for other things so stuff might look off.I animated the biggest scene of yet recently. In this scene the old man tries to pull in the dog from the window losing control of the car causing him to swerve. More severe and dramatic movements were made in this part. Line tool moves fluently which will help capture that anticipation when i come to overlay these scenes.

No shapey.

Yeah still getting this thing outlined. On the up hand it is the first look at the dog in this animation.
With having the scenes set up it will make it a lot easier for my when it comes to animating and filling out the characters.

Another scene animated using the line tool. I have animated slight movement and expression with the old man and bounces on the back of the truck. The dog sits there half hearted to be honest. Im going to worry about final animation later.

Under way

Yeah so I have eventually donned the tablet and opened flash and animating has begun. So i am outlining the animation in rough, getting those important key frames in and plodding on.

First animated scene is in the car. Using the line tool outlining the inside look. In red will be the animated element. The wheel will be animated separate and set onto its own layer.

Part two again u can see the outlines using the line tool. Roughing out these lines makes it easier for me to animate. lines will stay solid and be tweened. I can then sketch over the lines giving the boiling animated effects. The line will be animated as the back of the truck. The wheel and characters head are on separate layers. The eyes and hat are animated separate.

The beginning.

Okay the dates are messed up but this is my original time plan for the process of my animation. I start my animation in a couple of days so preparation is essential. I will update when i begin.

Its been while...

Yeahhh so it has. Production has started for my final animation. Its been a busy but slow start to my animation. Ive been having trouble decideing on my characers and getting a comftable style with them. I finished my story boards and animatic in rough but I'm gona jump to what I'm up to now to keep on top of things. Here's a quick idea of what I've been getting up to.

THe rough outline and backgrounds are been created. Im then using neither rough sketch with the brush tool or line tool to create basic animation/keyframes. Then after if needed i will neaten up the line work and adding frames to blend the style.
